Julian

Since school is out, the kids still wake up fairly early.  This past Saturday we decided to have breakfast in Julian. While out there in the Old West, the girls were feeling pretty "cowgirl", it is in their genes (thanks Grampa George!!). There were also free horse rides!

Free Resident Tuesdays

There are certain museums free for San Diego residents on Tuesdays. This week one of them was the Museum of Art (boring!!). Ben and Caleb were very excited! Knowing that the girls would not appreciate the art, I walked over to the giant fountain with them after a picnic in the grass.

Caleb here for the summer!

It has been too long since our son has been home with us, this summer he is home! He will be here until the beginning of August! The girls are so happy!

My little builders

Now that soccer is over, our Saturday mornings are a little bit freer to do other things...like building! The 1st Saturday of the month, Home Depot has a free kid's workshop, providing everything they need to build something. This month it was a trinket box. Hammers, nails, wood glue, it was so much fun!

My little baby is all grown up!

Nevaeh has come a long way in the last year. 3 to 4 years old has made a serious growth impact! My baby now LOVES vroom vrooms and cooks with mommy!

Soccer Saturdays

Angelique was in Spring Soccer this year and I coached for the first time! Fall is looking very promising of fun filled Saturdays...Nevaeh will be in soccer too!

Ice skating!

With Ben home this year, we are expecting to have a beautiful Christmas! We missed out on the Annual Christmas skate with the church since Ben had to work, but we had the opportunity to give the girls something just as good. There were free ice skating lessons on the rink so the girls learned for instructors. Then after the class was over, the girls went out on the ice with Ben and had a great time! Angelique was really getting the hang of it before we left so we will be going back again!

Angelique's Christmas sing-a-long

Angelique had her first sing a long at school. 3 classes presented about 15 minutes of singing and poems, some with sign language! It was really nice!

Thanksgiving in Phoenix

So 7 hours to Prescott and 1 1/2hr to Phoenix and the girls did so good! We had a wonderful time driving with them. In Phoenix, we had a fabulous Thanksgiving day, in which I didn't take any pictures because the women folk were in the kitchen cooking while the men were catching up...no really, it was nice. I like to cook, and I like when I make good food. We went out into the desert bush on Friday, away from the craziness of black Friday, to shoot some guns. And when I say some, I mean a lot!! Check out Ben!

Our first road trip!!

We had our first family road tirp/vacation this year. We headed out to Prescott, AZ to visit our newest members to our church at the new satelite church. We went out to show support and get to know more of the Body of Christ. We had a really great time. It was brisk and wintery, we were able to bundle up at night and see our breath. There were piles of leaves to play in, bronze pigs to take pictures next to (lol), climb trees...It was really funny, the weekend before it had snowed and there we were at the park in tee shirts! It was lovely weather. After a few days in Prescott, we headed over to Phoenix, to spend Thanksgiving with our friends Chris and Mary.
