Ribbons!

PROBLEM: I am tired of putting barrettes in the girls' hair only to find out when I pick them up or look at them after they play at the playground, the barrettes are gone. Those things are NOT cheap to be replacing all the time and the girls' hair is so straight they slide right off.
SOLUTION: Ribbons! Take one spool of thread, tie a bow with a REALLY long piece at the base of the pony tail, braid hair including the tail ends of the bow in 2 of the 3 strands of hair. WAA-LAA! No lost ribbons, really cute hair style, and no hair in the face!

Sometimes being creative actually works with their hair.

The Boys...

These are the boys, Roscoe and Max, both one year old this month. Ben loves his dogs, but since Max is new (like 3 weeks!) he has been spending more time with him. Max likes to jump ONLY with Ben, and they do their thing (Zombies, REALLY??).

Nevaeh's 3rd Birthday!

Nevaeh turned 3 on May 7!! She had such a wonderful birthday. So many people wished her a happy birthday. She was sung to at dance class, in the car, she even sang to herself!! We went to a children's fair and the girls had a great time. Then for her special birthday dinner, spaghetti! And a special butterfly birthday cake, covered in yummy candy!

Summer is here!

This summer lots of things are going on and I WILL keep this blog up-to-date! We have our church Memorial Day picnic, Nevaeh's FIRST dance recital, Angelique FIRST BJJ Tournament, July 4 picnic, Angelique 5th birthday, and hopefully LOTS of sunny beach days! I will try to post pics at least once a week, starting with Nevaeh's 3rd birthday pics, I can't believe my baby is 3. I am filling out Angelique's kindergarten forms...KINDERGARTEN!!! I have a lot of pics to take so come back soon for videos, pics, and updates! Oh, that's Roscoe and Max with Ben...Roscoe is a Doberman Shepard and Max is a Great Dane, both turn 1 yr old this month (May)!

Fun in the Sun!

Having the whole family together has been just the greatest feeling. I tend to do as much as possible so that I don't miss my family, but I realize how blessed I am when we are all together. Having Ben home is one blessing, but having Caleb home while Ben is home is an even bigger blessing! We have just had the best time! We spent one of our days together at the beach! The kids LOVED boogie boarding, OMG, did they!! All three of them couldn't stay out of the water and who could blame them? It was an absolutely perfect day. Thank you Jesus.

My Little Princess!

Nevaeh started ballet/tap this month! She will be in a recital in June!! She absolutely loves her teacher and her BFF, Aliyah, is in her class!

Big Girl!!

Angelique started Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu last week and she loves it! She is a natural. She is picking it up like nothing!

I know, I know

I know, it is 2011 and I haven't updated our family blog in over 10 months!! So much has happened! Ben came home from Afghanistan, we moved, we got a dog (Roscoe), and Ben left to Iraq! Caleb turned 9, Angelique 4, and Nevaeh 2! And look, here we are in Feb 2011, and my kids are approaching their next birthdays! I have updated the blog with new pics, and will "TRY" to keep this thing more updated. LIFE HAPPENS!!

During Christmas Break, Caleb came to Cali, it was a really nice time. Took the kids to Color Me Mine (and artsy fatsy place) to make dad some Father's day gifts and spend time together. We also went up to the snow!!
