Nevaeh couldn't go on any of the slides, so we swam around the deep pool all afternoon...7 ft kept me swimming the whole time!

4th of July Celebration!

The 4th of July always brings tradition for us: pancake breakfast fundraiser followed by the community parade, bbq'ing with friends, carnival and fireworks.  But the tradition of celebrating our independence, the freedom that has been defended by so many, including my honey, it's a tradition that I hope my kids will pass down to their kids.

After a wonderful afternoon of slip n' sliding, mud wrestling fun at my brother's house, the kids didn't even make it to the freeway.

Wow, 6 months as come and gone and I haven't posted a single picture! Summer is here and I will have more activities and outings to post, keep coming back for updates!

Julian

Since school is out, the kids still wake up fairly early.  This past Saturday we decided to have breakfast in Julian. While out there in the Old West, the girls were feeling pretty "cowgirl", it is in their genes (thanks Grampa George!!). There were also free horse rides!

Free Resident Tuesdays

There are certain museums free for San Diego residents on Tuesdays. This week one of them was the Museum of Art (boring!!). Ben and Caleb were very excited! Knowing that the girls would not appreciate the art, I walked over to the giant fountain with them after a picnic in the grass.

It has been too long since our son has been home with us, this summer he is home! He will be here until the beginning of August! The girls are so happy!

My little builders

Now that soccer is over, our Saturday mornings are a little bit freer to do other things...like building! The 1st Saturday of the month, Home Depot has a free kid's workshop, providing everything they need to build something. This month it was a trinket box. Hammers, nails, wood glue, it was so much fun!

My little baby is all grown up!

Nevaeh has come a long way in the last year. 3 to 4 years old has made a serious growth impact! My baby now LOVES vroom vrooms and cooks with mommy!
