Happy Independance Day!

Happy 4th of July!! We started our day with a Pancake Breakfast at the Mira Mesa epicenter, and then watched a parade! It was too hot to visit the carnival after the parade, so we will go when it cools down (About 7pm). Then we'll find a good spot to watch the fireworks! Stay tuned for those pictures!

Chillin' in the pool

It has been so hot here! I bought this little pool (6ft x 15in) for the girls to play in. For them, it's practically the ocean! They swim back and forth with their little goggles on and go under the water for their dive sticks!! But they needed a break so I showed them how to relax in the pool.

She Received her 1st Stripe!!!

Angelique's Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu class is going so well! She received her first stripe today!! 4 months of hard work, 3 days a week, she is progressing very well her instructor, Leo (in the pic) says. She competes this month in the Kids World BJJ Championship! We are so excited!!

Nevaeh's Recital

Nevaeh's recital was a surprise. It was at 6pm, so I was getting her ready at 2pm, she decided she didn't want to dance anymore. I told her I would just comb her hair. An hour later, she was so tired since she naps from 1 to 3, she was cranky and DEFINITELY didn't want to dance. So while I got Angelique ready, she fell asleep. On the way there, she still wasn't too happy but her BFF Aliyah was with us and she was ok. Once we were at the museum (Museum of Contemporary Art) and into the theater for their dress rehearsal, she saw the stage, ran on to it and started dancing! The rehearsal went well, all the dancers went back stage while the theater filled in and the it started. The first class did their dance and then the lights dimmed and on came the music for the toddlers...Watch my ham!! (Remember, they are all SUPPOSED to be doing the same thing together...) I am so proud of my baby!!

Roller Derby Day!!!

 We spent the evening which our friend Jen, who is a forensic embalmer. She is on a roller derby team in North County and her name on the floor is "Mortisha Demolisha!!" We had such a great evening which the girls tough it out!!

Nevaeh's Recital Pics

 This past Sunday was Nevaeh's recital pictures at her studio. It was also to make sure their hair and make-up and costumes were good for the recital (next weekend!!). This is her BFF, Aliyah. Same age, same likes, two peas in a pod. Don't they look adorable?!?!?!

They had a countdown calendar, but they only check it at night, crossing of the day before bed, so they didn't remember that the night before was the last night without daddy...
